Anticipated Hiring Range: $15.86 - $20.62
DEFINITIONThe purpose of this job/class within the organization is to develop, administer, and promote initiatives and programs in the field of Human Resources administration. This job/class works under the supervision of the HR Manager, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Not all inclusive): Assists with new hire orientations, annual open enrollment, processes employee benefits and garnishments changes, and direct deposit and W-4 changes and other changes as directed. Handles complex administrative and record keeping tasks requiring a high level of accuracy. Maintains knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management; interprets appropriate laws and policies and advises management accordingly. Conducts various surveys; analyzes the results to advise the Director and senior management of the findings, possibilities for implementation, and overall impact on organizational effectiveness. Coordinates and implements various risk related programs as requested or required to include the DOT/CDL random drug/alcohol testing program and incident investigation, safety related trainings. Review driver's license records and pre-employment physicals for prospective employees. Manage the Post Exposure Nurse program for employee exposures to occupational disease. Develop and maintain Building Emergency Plan. AED Inspection. Access Control (Door lock systems). Performs related work as assigned.

Requires a High School Diploma. Requires 3 years' related experience, preferably in human resources, preferably in a government (municipal) setting. 2 years of safety/risk coordinator functions preferred. Risk functions being defined as it relates to safety and human resources, NOT risk related to insurance carriers

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:  Requires a driver's license valid in the State of Florida.
