One (1) Regular Full-Time Non-Exempt Vacancy
 
Anticipated Hiring Range: $13.05 - $17.66
 
DEFINITIONThe purpose of this job/class within the organization is to install and maintain storm water systems within the City. This job/class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Not all inclusive)Constructs, inspects, repairs and maintains stormwater piping, catch basins, outfalls, detention ponds, illicit discharges throughout the City to ensure that all aspects of the systems are functioning properly. Assists with maintaining a variety of records relating to the inspection, maintenance activity, repair and construction of stormwater facilities. Assists with responding to and investigates complaints from residents and business as they pertain to stormwater issues. Identifies location of all utility lines and ensures appropriate marking prior to excavation. Maintains equipment and vehicles; cleans and inspects, orders supplies and parts as needed. Conducts structure inspections and complete reports identifying these structures. Installs concrete, sod, and other materials in the repair of city systems, facilities, and outdoor areas.Maintain ditches, swales, right of ways, ponds, and easements; mows, trims hedges, and removes trash.   
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent. or closely related field. Requires three months experience in storm water systems maintenance or closely related experience.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess or have the ability to possess within six (6) months after appointment to the position, a Florida CDL Class B with air brakes and tanker endorsement and valid DOT medical card. Must possess and maintain or have the ability to possess in within six (6) months of appointment to the position, Confined Space Entry Certification, and Intermediate MOT certification. Must possess and maintain or have the ability to possess within one (1) year of appointment to the position, a Class C stormwater certification.
